Knokkel is a straightforward anarchist soloproject of ISB. Music mimics society and where society mainly admires appearances and easily consumed licks, Knokkel is focused on what matters, the engine of it all … the bass!

No intended structures, no deliberate chord progressions, just a bass doing what it does best: creating ballbusting undercurves! Everything else, it being guitars, drums and vocals are there to serve the foundation.

It is aggressive, it resonates your inner struggle for maximal freedom. It condemns, it points the finger at all that stands in your way, all that falsely attaches you to the volatile and shallow dogma’s of todays substitutes for religious believes, but merely serving the same eternal mechanism of ego-ism.

Individualism means to stress independence from group standards, as well as self-reliance. It stresses individual achievement over collective achievement. Ego-ism refers to an overly developed sense of one's self-importance.

 

Maximum freedom for a maximum number of individuals with maximum respect for ones struggle to survive!
